In many venues, several devices control the same zone throughout the day. When that's the case, a change made on one device can interrupt the music already playing for everyone in that space.
Zone locking prevents this and once a zone is locked, its playback settings stay fixed, so the music keeps running as intended and can't be changed by accident from another device.
To Lock a Zone to a Device;
Ensure something is playing in the desired zone.
Go to the Zones Tab on the desired device
Select the '...' beside the zone you want to lock.
Select 'Lock Zone'
A lock symbol will appear beside the zone name.
To Unlock a Zone from a Device;
Go to the Zones Tab on the desired device
Select the '...' beside the zone you want to lock.
Select 'Unlock Zone'
A lock symbol will disappear from beside the zone name.
